Warren Park Rugby League Stadium

Warren Park Rugby League Stadium will provide first class sporting facilities to Territorians.

The stadium includes three full-sized fields with one to national standard, a grandstand, equip to fit up to with a 1200 seating capacity, four change rooms, corporate facilities, food and beverage facilities, car parking for approximately 600 cars and the flexibility to host other sporting events.

Our experienced and dedicated roofing team met the multiple challenges for accuracy and exacting standards on the roofing and cladding installation for the Warren Park Rugby Stadium project. The Roof Sheeting was supplied by local manufacturer Steeline GRP and walls were sheeted in Lysaght Dominion, a unique steel cladding with express joins creating an attractive block effect, adding visual texture to the overall project.

The roofing component involved the installation of over 2645 M2 of Steeline GRP SteelSpan, as well a combined 620 M2 of Steeline GRP Corro and Soffit lining and Lysaght Dominion Wall Cladding.

The Halikos Roofing team developed innovative proven methods of working through the harsh weather conditions here in the Territory which challenged our team over the wet season that the project was in progress. To enhance the aesthetics of the stadium design the 20-metre-high roof had to be laid without the installation of roof safety mesh which posed additional complexity and risk to the OH&S element of the project as all sheets had to be laid using harnesses, ropes and EWP only. The experience of the Halikos Roofing tradesmen excelled in this area and the stadium came together seamlessly.

Halikos Roofing has a strong company ethos of supporting local services, suppliers and contractors. As the Metal Roofing and Cladding products make up the bulk of the material used, our commitment to using Steeline GRP whenever possible to ensures a consistent and guaranteed quality and supply, keeping with the Buy Local whenever possible to support the local community. Logistically, sourcing all roofing and cladding products locally ensured we had no time delays due to non-stock or transport issues. Steeline GRP ensure there is always surplus coil in stock to keep up with demand. NT Fasteners supplied all fixings and fasteners for the project.

The project, incorporating both the roofing and cladding contract packages extended over a 6-month period from October 2018 – March 2019 and was completed on schedule and on budget thanks to the hard work and team effort from everyone at Halikos Roofing.
