Kick Off for Halikos as Rugby League Stadium Tender is Awarded

The Halikos Group is excited to announce it has been awarded the tender to build the new Warren Park Rugby League Stadium at Marrara.

The grandstand, equip to fit up to 1200 people will enable Territorians to enjoy rugby games from a new home. The stadium will consist of four change-rooms, corporate facilities, food and beverage facilities, car parking, onsite storage for clubs and the flexibility to host other sporting events requiring a rectangular field, such as rugby union and soccer.

With kick off for construction of the new stadium beginning in March, the Halikos team will be working to deliver this project to Territorians by April 2019.

“This is an exciting project to be involved in and we thank the Territory Government for providing us with this opportunity”. Shane Dignan, Managing Director said.

The project will employ a minimum of 120 locals during the construction phase.

Halikos have a proud history of building quality public infrastructure in Darwin. In 2011, Halikos constructed the AFL Palmerston Complex and Grounds and is currently finishing the Marrara Tennis Centre.

“We are looking forward to seeing the Marrara sporting precinct really start to take shape”. Shane said.
