Halikos helps Henbury School

Earlier in the year at the Annual Paspaley Starlight Ball the Halikos Group Directors bid for a “Power Package” this package included 15 volunteers from the INPEX Ichthys Project Darwin working 2 x 8 hour consecutive days which equated to 240 man-hours.  This package was donated to Henbury School Darwin.  Henbury is a special needs school catering for children with disabilities in both middle to senior years.

On the evening of the Starlight Ball INPEX Directors generously increased the package to 360 man-hours as the prize had been donated to such a worthy cause.  The works at Henbury commenced September 9 over two Saturday’s in the hot Darwin sun, during this time many of the outdoor area’s took on a miraculous transformation.  All volunteers worked extremely hard with one goal in mind to allow the students of Henbury to have a fun and relaxing environment, which they can enjoy spending vast amounts of time in.

Many thanks to INPEX staff for their contributions, these hours were not paid hours all volunteers were rewarded when they saw the children enjoying the fruits of their labour.

Congratulations to all involved.
