Halikos Awarded the First Phase of Construction of the CDU Tender

The Halikos Group is excited to announce it has been awarded the first phase of construction of the $250M Charles Darwin University Education and Community Precinct Project in the Darwin CBD.

The construction contract covers work to finalise design development and provision of the Phase 2 contract for the construction and fit-out of the new building, including the two level underground carpark, landscaping and public open spaces.

As a Darwin company, we are thrilled to be a part of this iconic project that will create local involvement and jobs during its development and support the economic recovery and revitalisation of Darwin,” Managing Director, Shane Dignan said.

Halikos will work with the Larrakia Development Corporation as the Traditional Owners to deliver employment and development opportunities throughout the project.

Works will commence in early January. Finalising Phase One of the contract will take about 6 months to complete, with construction to commence after this.

We would like to thank our dedicated team who worked tirelessly during the tender submission and we look forward to working with CDU and their teams in developing this world-class university campus and community precinct.” said Shane.
